摘要
分析了农业人才大学英语课程背景和现状,涉农类专业学生的人文素质现状,结合语言工具性与人文性的内涵,认为大学英语作为一门必修的人文学科,对于涉农类专业学生的人文素质教育起着重要的作用。强调大学英语教师应在以工具性和人文性的和谐统一为新的课程理念的指导下,不断提高自身的人文修养,充分挖掘英语知识中的人文教育内涵,开展丰富多彩的课堂内外活动,拓展人文素质教育空间,培养涉农类专业学生对于人文精神的兴趣和感知力,提高学生的人文素质。
The background and status of English course in agricultural universities was analyzed, as well as the agricultural professional students＇ humanistic quality. Combined with connotation of language tools and humanity, it was thought that College English as a compulsory course plays an important role in students＇humanistic quality education. College English teachers should constantly improve their own humani- ties accomplishment under the guidance of new curriculum concept, which is based on harmonious unification of instrumental and humanism of English teaching. College English teachers should try to explore the connotation of the humanities education in English, carrying out colorful inside and outside the classroom activities, expanding humanities quality education space, cultivating agricultural engineering students＇interest for the humanities spirit, improving the students＇humanistic quality.
