内容依托式外语教学与大学生外语能力发展

Content- based Instruction and College Students' Development of Foreign Language Competence

摘要 外语能力应以外显能力和内隐能力为两个支点。外显能力包括语言综合应用能力和综合文化素养,内隐能力包括语言学习能力和思辨能力。内容依托式外语教学模式将外语教育融入学科知识教育中,营造了与常规大学英语教学模式所不同的外语学习情境,有利于大学生的外语能力发展。但在具体实施过程中,也应合理选择应用对象,精心组织教学过程,注重师资队伍建设。 Foreign language competence is composed of explicit competence and implicit competence. The former includes comprehensive language application ability and comprehensive cultural quality,while the latter includes language learning ability and critical thinking ability. Content- based Instruction( CBI) integrates content learning into language learning and emphasizes language learning in its actual use,which provides learners with a different language learning context from the regular College English teaching model. It contributes to learners' development of general foreign language competence. However,in its implementation,it is suggested that application objects should be properly selected,teaching process be well designed,and construction of qualified teaching staff be emphasized.
