摘要
20世纪下半叶以来,学者们提出了各种各样的高等教育治理模式。奥拉夫在财务、管理、教育、人事、学生五个因素的基础上,围绕学术事务与机构管理详尽考查了西方主要国家的高等教育治理模式。尽管西方主要国家的高等教育治理模式存在巨大的多样性,但也有趋同之处。整体来看,欧美高等教育治理模式之间的差异并不像一些文献所描述的那么大,差异主要集中在人事政策和学生事务以及教育上。高等教育治理模式的国际比较表明,多样性是高等教育治理模式的一个显著特征,高等教育治理模式的选择是外部控制与自身历史的张力。
Since the second half of the twentieth century, scholars have put forward various governance modes of higher education. On the basis of finance, management, education, personal and students, centering on academic affairs and institution management, Olaf C. McDaniel examined governance modes of higher education in the main western countries in detail. Although there is great diversity among the governance modes of higher education in the main western countries, there are homologies. As a whole, the difference between European and American governance modes of higher education is not so large as some literatures described. The difference focuses on personal policies, student affairs and education mainly. International comparison on governance modes of higher education suggests that diversity is a significant feature of governance modes of higher education, and the choice of governance mode of higher education is the tension of outside control and its own history.
