Objective To explore the characteristics of urinary disorders in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) and influential factors involved. Methods Clinical data were collected from 76 PD patients in our hospital to analyze the characteristics of urinary disorders. They were scored using the Scales for Outcomes in Parkinson's Disease - Autonomic questionnaire SCOPA- AUT (part of urinary disorders). Then Spearman's correlation analysis was performed between SCOPA- AUT scores and gender, age, the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS) scores, Hoehn- Yahr ( H - Y) stage, duration of disease, the Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS) scores, levodopa doses and education background. Results There were 37 PD patients with urinary disorders (37/76, 48.9% ). They produced higher scores of UPDRS and FSS, and longer duration of disease than PD patients without urinary disorders ( all P 〈0. 05 ). A positive correlation was determined between SCOPA - AUT scores and UPDRS scores, H - Y stage, FSS scores and duration of disease ( r = 0. 607 - 0.812, all P 〈0. 05 ). Conclusion PD patients have a higher incidence of urinary disorders, which is associ- ated with multiple factors.
