摘要
中国加入《华盛顿协议》与制定工程教育认证标准对大学外语教育具有重要的启示意义。本文分析了工程教育认证标准中与外语相关的部分,提出在工程教育认证标准背景下从建设外语教育中心、改革教学内容、完善多语种教育、协助双语教学、服务于未来职业发展等五方面开展大学外语教育。文章认为大学外语教改的当务之急是实现将"外语教育"而非"外语教学"置于首位的战略大转移。
China＇s joining the ＂Washington Accord＂ and formulation of Criteria for Engineering Education Accredita- tion have great significance for college foreign language education. This paper analyzes the part of Criteria for Engi- neering Education Accreditation related to foreign language, then puts forward five approaches to college foreign lan- guage education in the context of engineering education accreditation, which are construction of foreign language edu- cation center, reform of course contents, improvement of muhi-language education, assistance to bilingual instruction and career-oriented foreign language education. The paper holds that the top priority for the reform of college foreign language education is to put foreign language education instead of foreign language teaching in the first place.
