摘要
中国土司制度与土司文化研究不仅存在诸多空白和盲区,而且还存在一些问题和误区,诸如土司制度具体内容、土司制度运行机制、中国土司制度与国家治理、明清时期改土归流、土司地区风俗习惯、土司制度史料整理、土司文化保护与利用、土司问题研究方法等,这些问题如果不引起重视,将会对土司问题研究及"土司学"的构建带来负面影响。
Concerning the study of Chinese tusi（ Native official） system and tusi culture,there are not only blank and obscure areas,but also problems and misunderstandings. Not paying attention to these issues will have negative impact on the study of China＇s tusi system,tusi culture and the construction of ＂tusi studies ＂. Hence,I propose eight issues that should be noted while doing research on the tusi system and tusi culture.1. Research on the Specific Content of Chinese tusi System Since the publication of Yunsheng＇s article titled the yunnan zhi tusi（ Yunnan Tusi） in 1908,there has never been a lack of scholarly research on the tusi system or issues related to tusi. However,lacking are in- depth studies on the way the tusi in different regions implemented the tusi system as stipulated by the central government,and all of the different kinds of specific tusi systems. Generally speaking,although research on the tusi system during in the past 100 years has had some achievements,many problems and academic gaps with regard to research on its institutional aspects still exist. Hence,I suggest that scholars and experts should adopt a thematic approach with regard to the development history of the tusi system,and that they should write monographs on various themes,such as tusi transmission system,tribute system,reward- punishment system,promotion system,and education system,etc.2. Research on the Operating Mechanisms of the Chinese Tusi System Most of the research on the Chinese tusi system is usually limited to a macro aspect. However,research on the operating mechanisms of the tusi system,especially on those issues relating to howthe systems of transmission,tribute,reward- punishment,promotion,etc. functioned,is lacking and could be regarded as a gap in the research. It should be said that there are academic gaps concerning the procedure of tusi transmission,the formalities of tusi transmission,the disadvantages of tusi transmission system, and the central government＇s control of transmission system,etc.W
