论墨子“尚同”非专制

摘要 对于墨子的尚同政治主张,学术界存在两种看法,一为专制,一为民主。事实上,讨论墨子之"尚同",不能离开当时的社会背景与尚同之目的。作为一种抽象概念,"尚同"既可以是专制,也可以是民主。通过考察"尚同"之目的、形式与内容各方面,将"尚同"置于"兼爱"的社会理想之下,不仅要求"下同于上",也要求天子上同于天、顺应民意、主动接受贤臣的影响,则"尚同"非专制明矣。此外,"尚同"并不要求上下之义绝对的一致,而只是无限接近。 There are two opposite opinions in academia about Mo-Tze' s politic view of Shangtong (advocating unification) : autocracy versus democracy. In fact, a conclusion can not be reached without taking its social background and advocating aim into consideration. As an abstract concept, it can be autocracy and democracy as well. Given its advocating aim, form and contents, Shangtong consists with the social ideal-universal love, which requires not only the common people to follow the emperor, but the emperor to follow the will of heaven and the public by taking suggestions of virtuous ministers. In addition, Shangtong does not mean reaching the exactly same idea, but very close to it. Therefore, Shangtong is anything but autocracy.
