摘要
基于内容的图像检索技术(CBIR)发展已经有三十多年,但相关技术在公共安全领域的应用尚处于初步阶段。依托公安部重点实验室平台,使用实际刑侦现勘图像数据库,介绍在现勘图像数据库检索、车胎花纹数据库检索方面取得的研究进展情况,讨论现有成果与公共安全行业实际需求之间存在的差距,并分析现勘图像数据库检索研究的未来发展趋势。
Content-based image retrieval （CBIR） has been developed for over thirty years, but its application in public security area is still at its infant stage. Taking advantage of the real-world crime scene investigation （CSI） image data from the key laboratory of the ministry of public security, progresses have been made in our research in CSI image database retrieval. This paper introduces our research outcome in CSI image database retrieval and in tire pattern retrieval. In addition, the gap between techniques and practical requirements in public security area is analyzed, and a few future research directions are discussed.
