摘要
以民国早期留美的第一代图书馆学人为研究对象,通过史料的搜集和整理,对现有研究拾缺补遗,论述第一代图书馆学人留美的整体状况。从赴美背景和途径、在美学习经历等方面揭示图书馆学的"西学东渐"和人才跨国培养之路。
This article discusses the first generation of librarians who received professional training in the USA in early period of Republic of China. Based on the historic records, it found some supplement materials to current studies, and provided a general description of this group of people. From the background and approaches, the experience of their study, it reveals the pathway of how the modern library science was introduced to China from the west, and how the domestic librarians be trained outside China.
