摘要
选取《经济学人》2014年3月至8月数篇报道,运用批评话语分析理论(CDA),从分类、情态、及物性和转换这四个方面进行研究,揭示西方新闻报道所持的双重标准。研究进一步表明,批评话语分析能够帮助读者理解媒体报道中所隐藏的意识形态和操纵意图,以提高其语言批评意识进而对新闻报道重新审视以便做出正确的评价。
Starting From the perspective of critical discourse analysis, this paper analyzes the reports of Chances counter terrorism activities by the Economist from March 2014 to August 2014 in terms of classification, modality, direct and indirect speeches. The paper tries to reveal the double standard of the western press. The research also indicates that by using critical discourse methods, the reader can understand the ideology and the manipulation in the reports and they can further enhance their critical awareness to make correct judgments.
