摘要
鸦片战争后,清政府被迫打开国门,开启了近代中西文化的交流活动。在近代中西文化交流中,既有冲突又有融合,薛福成在此过程中提出"中西会通"的观点,基本确立了中西文化交流的方向,但也反映出其思想变迁中的"欲新还旧"特征,具有时代局限性。
After the Opium War, the government of Qing Dynasty was compelled to open the gate wide to the foreign countries. The communication activities of modern Chinesewestern culture also appeared in this period. There were conflicts and blends between Chinese culture and western culture. At this time, Xue Fucheng put forward the idea of ＂Chinese-western cultural digest＂, setting the direction of the communication of Chinesewestern culture. But his thoughts reflected the characteristic of ＂trying to be new but still old＂ and the historical limitation.
