摘要
文章以制度逻辑视角为切入点,就中国企业面临的独特制度环境及其多样性进行了探讨,指出国家逻辑、市场逻辑和社会公益逻辑构成了企业认知与行为的外部制度和文化根源,并据此构建了多重制度逻辑影响下的企业环境战略分析架构,强调了社会公益逻辑兴起是组织环境活动增加的根本原因,进而提出了相应的研究假设。文章对372家上市企业的实证分析结果表明:尽管均需要回应外部制度的环境要求,但由于主导性制度逻辑的不同,企业的环境战略行为表现出明显差异。具体而言,国有企业作为政府参与经济的重要手段,受国家逻辑影响更大,其环境行为反映出更多公共利益诉求,倾向于采取实质性战略,绩效水平对其战略选择影响不明显;私有企业更多受市场逻辑影响,因此在企业绩效不佳时,明显倾向于选择象征性战略。
Based on the institutional logic theory, this article discusses China's unique institutional environment and its diversity. It argues that state logic, market logic and social logic constitute the structure and cultural background of enterprise cognition and behavior, and according to which the analytical framework for understanding enterprise environmental strategies under the influence of multiple institutional logics is built. This article suggests that the rise of social logic should be a prerequisite for the emergence of corporate environmental behavior. Based on this, some research hypotheses are proposed. An empirical study on 372 Chinese listed companies showed that despite all had to respond to environmental pressure, they responded differently which shaped by heterogeneous logic. Specifically, as an important way the government participates in the economy, state- owned enterprises were inclined to choose a substantive strategy. Profit purchasing is not their obvious motivation. But the situation is different with private companies, where the dominant logic is market order. That means when companies' performance gets worse, they will choose symbolic response behavior and strategies. Finally, the conclusion of this paper provides a possible direction for more research in this regard.
