摘要
从功能派翻译理论视角阐释了《名利场》杨必译本中幽默言语的翻译策略,指出幽默言语在翻译过程中既要注重原语文化,"忠实"传达原语文本中幽默诙谐风格,又要根据目的语文化中读者群的可接受度适时调整翻译策略,尽量把"文化缺省"所导致的翻译障碍灵活处理,达到作者、原语读者、译者和目的语读者的有效交际.
This paper studies humorous utterance translation from the perspective of Functionalism and intends to prove Functionalism is powerful in accounting for humorous utterance translation and provides a new angle for the researches into humorous utterance translation. This paper points out the humorous utterance translation is not only ＂loyal＂ to the source language but also should be different accoding to the readers＇ acceptance in the target language. The aim of humorous utterance translation is to achieve the efficient communication among the writer, the readers in the source language, the translator, the readers in the target language.
