As a representative of the Lost Generation,Ernest Hemingway’s unique and rich experiences endow his works with strong autobiographic flavor. His short story the Snows ofKilimanjaro created in 1930s has no exception. While most critics are inclined to its autobiographic reading, they ignore the la-tent Orientalism hidden in the text.Through postcolonial approach and detailed analysis of the text, the paper aims to explore the latent Orientalism in this novel.
