摘要
文章研究数字图像处理与车牌定位技术在车牌自动识别中的应用,运用Matlab进行数字图像处理和定位算法运算及调试,解决车牌定位问题。车辆图像经过数字图像预处理之后,根据车牌区域边缘信息白点分布密集的特点,按一定的规则依次对目标区域进行水平和垂直定位,最终提取出车牌信息。文章的方法不仅针对车牌类型,背景颜色不同具有一定的通用性,还对不同的焦距具有一定的通用性。
The application of digital image processing technology and license plate location technology in automatic license plate recognition was studied. Matlab software was used to process the image and calculate and debug the positioning algorithm. The original vehicle image was preprocessed digitally. Then according to the dense information white point distribution on the plate edge,the target area was horizontal and vertical orientated by a certain rule,thereby the license plate information was extracted. This method can be used for different type license plates with various background colors and focal lengths.
