摘要
以"中国文化失语症源自外语教师中国文化意识的淡漠"问题为假设前提,对甘肃4所中学24名英语教师做了问卷调查和半结构性访谈。结果表明英语教师中国文化意识淡漠主要由以下客观原因所致:英语课程标准对于在英语教学中渗透中国文化没有做出具体要求;英语教材中国文化内容偏少是一种误导;外语教师培训中极少提及本土文化输入的内容。
Extremely lack of mother tongue culture in daily communication situation has become a hot issue to for-eign language learners.This paper,based on the hypothesis question"Chinese culture loss results from the ChineseEnglish teacher's unawareness of mother tongue culture input,has conducted an investigation on 24 English teach-ers in four secondary schools both from urban and rural regions in Gansu province.It turns out that it is true thatChinese English teachers have focused little consciousness on mother tongue culture in their daily teaching,but it iscaused by the following reasons:(1) Curriculum Criteria has not made specific requirements on how to apply mothertongue culture into daily teaching.(2) There is a misleading that very little introduction about mother tongue culturematerial in current English coursebooks.(3)English teachers have got little chance in training on mother tongue cul-ture,and they themselves are lack of culture knowledge.Besides,there is an expected phenomena that English teach-ers at different levels shift responsibility of introducing mother tongue culture onto each other.Based on this,this pa-per claims that English teachers must shoulder the responsibility of introducing mother tongue in foreign languageteaching.And some specific strategies have been recommended.
