摘要
美国20世纪修辞学泰斗肯尼思·伯克创立的"新修辞学"无疑是修辞学界最闪亮的风景,但其思想十分深邃、难懂。本文认为,伯克的辨证思想是其修辞学体系的关键所在。他的辩证思想体现在其修辞哲学和修辞理论中,具体涉及修辞的人性论、修辞动因、戏剧性"五位一体"、"同一"重要概念。文章指出,伯克修辞学体系中的的辨证特征是修辞运作的基石。
The＂New Rhetoric＂created by the master rhetorician Kenneth Burke is undoubtedly the most striking scene in the spectrum of rhetoric in the 20 thCentury America. It is believed that Burke＇s dialectic thought is crucial to his rhetorical system. His dialectical thought manifests itself in his rhetorical philosophy and rhetorical theory,involving rhetorical view on human nature,rhetorical motivation,dramatistic pentad,and identification. It is pointed out that the dialectic feature constitutes the operative foundation of Burke＇s rhetorical theory.
