Because of the loose sand in shallow formations, the soak of mud filtrate in drilling leads to the sidewall collapse forming invaded zone. It results in the falsification on acoustic logging curves, which has effect on the correlation between composite seismogram and actual seismic section. A method of correcting shallow acoustic logging curves is introduced on the basis of data of caliper survey achieving good results in Gudong 281 well block.
