摘要
数学不可知论是20世纪数学界说之一,在数学基础研究领域占有极为重要的地位。罗素来华使这一理论在民国学界得到了更为广泛的传播,促进了民国时期现代数学的发展,同时,它自身所体现出的"空洞无物"和"不辨真妄"也成为学界诘难的焦点,特别是持唯物辩证法立场的学者对数学不可知论进行了批驳。以数学不可知论在民国社会的传播为切入点,尤可管窥民国学界对数学基础探讨和研究之状况,也可得见民国数学思想与文化之概观。
Mathematical agnosticism is one of the most important mathematical theories in the 20th century, and it plays an extremely important role in the basic field of mathematics. Russell% coming to China made this theory more widely disseminated and recognized in the academic circles of the period of the Republic of China. Meanwhile, the " emptiness" and " indistinguishable from the true" embodied in Russells theory became the focus of criticism in the academic circles, especially the scholars who hold materialist dialectics refuted the theory of mathematical agnosticism. Taking the spread of mathematical agnosticism as a breakthrough point, we can get a glimpse of the situation of the study and research on the basis of mathematics in the academic circles, as well as an overview of the mathematical thought and culture of the period of the Republic of China.
