摘要 The structure change of HDPE under ultraviolet irradiation in air and O 2 atmosphere was studied by elemental analysis, FTIR, XPS, GPC. The oxygen containing groups such asCO C-O were observed in molecular chains of HDPE after irradiation. The contents of CO and C-O increase with irradiation time. The O 2 acceleretes the rate of HDPE functionalization. During ultraviolet irradiation, the molecular weight of HDPE is decreased and its MWD becomes narrow.
