摘要
从文化学的角度比较中美时间观念 ,可以看出中国传统的时间观既是线性时间观又是循环时间观 ,以循环时间观为主 ,而美国则是线性时间观 ;在时间取向上 ,中国重视历史 ,有过去的时间取向 ,美国重视未来 ,有将来的时间取向 ;在计时、用时和守时的习惯上 ,中国属于多向时间习惯 。
From the aspects of culture, this paper compares the Chinese time views with the American ones and concludes that the Chinese traditional time views are both the linear time view and the cyclic time view, with the cyclic time view dominating, while the American time view is the linear one,as for the time orientation, China has the past orientation,stressing history, while America has the future orientation, stressing future,and as for the habits of timing and punctuality, China has polychronic time habit while America has monochromic time habit.
