A proverb comes not from nothing\'. It comes from real life and reflects real life. \!Proverbs are the daughters of daily experience\'. They reflect almost all aspects of life. They are also an important part of culture. Therefore, studying proverbs helps us understand life and culture better. Many proverbs reflect the life of women and display various female images. This paper discusses the female images in Chinese and English proverbs and analyzes their contributing factors from different angles.
