英语俚语是一种相当特殊的语言形式。它历史悠久 ,尽管处在不断的更新变化之中 ,但它具有独特的语言表现力。拟从英美民族性格、文化背景入手 ,剖析英语俚语的构词方式、修辞手法 ,从而揭示英语俚语的风格特征 ,以使我们能更好地理解和欣赏英语通俗作品。
English slang is a very special language variant. Though it is always changing, English slang has a long history and is considered to be very expressive. This article attempts to make a survey of the stylistic features of English slang in terms of word -formation, rhetoric and cultural context, so that a good comprehension and appreciation of the English popular readings can be desired.
