摘要
语言作为一个符号系统 ,具有绝对任意性 ,然而一旦被“约定俗成”又表现为一种相对稳定性 ;随着社会运动发展变化 ,语言也处在不断变化之中 ,这种变化是不以人的意志为转移的 ,是绝对性的 ,但是在这绝对变化的过程中 ,语言仍以一种相对稳定的形态表现出来 ;从时空而论 ,时间对语言的影响是绝对的 ,而空间对语言的影响又是相对的 ;从客观存在而论 ,语言价值是具有绝对性的 ,从语言的各要素关系而论 ,语言价值又具有其相对性。
Language as a system of symbols is absolutely arbitrary. However, when it is established by usage, it is relatively steady. The constant change of language along with the development of society is absolute beyond the control of human mind. During the course of absolute change, language is revealed in a relative steady way. From the perspective of time and space, the impact that time makes on language is absolute while that of space on language is relative. The value of language is absolute in terms of objective existence, while it is relative in terms of relations between language elements.
