苏雪林女士的创作谈、读书札记及对作家作品的评论 ,鲜明地表现了她的文艺思想 :强调文学要有促进社会进步、激励人向上的宣传鼓动作用 ;重视作品的艺术性 ;要求文贵独创 ;关注文学的民族性。苏雪林文学批评值得称道之处 ,在于其宽容精神。
Madam SU Xue lin's talks on literary creation,her book notes and her criticism of authors and their works clearly express her thought on art and literature,emphasizing that literature should play the role of publicity to advance the progress of the society and encourage the people.Artistic value and its originality should be stressed;meanwhile the national features should always be under consideration.What is worth praising about her literary criticism is her unique tolerance,fair attitude towards others'works and appealing aesthetic taste.
