Teaching scientific research as a supplementary class for medical students

摘要 为了适应国家建设和发展的需要,培养创新能力强的高素质医学人才,作者在医学本科生中开展了科研作为第二课堂教学的活动。从建立科研小组、课题申报、项目实施、结题报告及论文撰写、论文的口头报告等全过程对医学生进行训练,使医学生学到了第一课堂不能学到的东西,学生的素质得到全面提高。因此,科研是培养医学生的创新精神、提高综合素质的有效途径。 Scientific research was taught to medical undergraduates as a supplementary class in order to meet the needs of national development and advancement and foster quality medical personnel with greater creativity. Medical undergrad- uates were taught the entire research process, from setting up research groups to submitting proposals, implementing projects, writing final reports and papers, and delivering oral presentations. This supplementary class taught students many things that they would not learn during regular classes and it improved quality of students. Thus, scientific research is an effective way to foster a spirit of innovation and enhance the overall quality of medical students.
