摘要
人的自然状态是霍布斯社会思想的基石。他认为在自然状态中,人和人在能力上是平等的。他不同意亚里士多德关于人的社会性的说法。有论者认为霍布斯的自然状态是建立在人性恶的基础上;这种看法是对霍布斯思想的误解。霍布斯设定自然状态这一概念,是为了让我们有一个参照点,可以更好地看清楚现实社会的利弊。
Man＇s natural state is a cornerstone of Hobbes＇social thought. He believes that people are equal in ability in the natural state. He did not agree with Aristotle＇s argument on the social nature. Some commentators believe that Hobbes＇natural state is based on the evil human nature; such a view is a misunderstanding of Hobbes＇thought. Hobbes set the concept of natural state, in order to let us have a point of reference and better see the pros and cons of social reality.
