Short story is one of the literature forms, whose artistic beauty is mostly realized by rhythm. Rhythm, which embodies the unification of form and content, is the organization form of the text, as well as the manifestation of the content. Early Autumn by Langston Hughes has distinct linguistic rhythm and text rhythm, which represent the unique artistic beauty of the short stories.
