摘要
通过对新疆喀什市4所中学400多名维吾尔族学生的调查,发现南疆地区初高中学生英语学习的特点:英语基础参差不齐;父母对学生英语学习的期望值很高;学生喜爱英语,英语学习动机明确。存在问题是:喀什地区英语教学条件艰苦;教材选取难度大;学生学习困难多;英语学习投入的时间和精力不够。
An investigation of 400 Uygur Students at 4 middle schools in Kashgar of Xinjiang shows the following English learning characteristics of high school students in this area: 1 ) the students' English levels are varied; 2) their parents have very high expectations for their English learning; 3) Uygur students are interested in English with a clear motive; 4) English teaching conditions are very poor in this area; 5) it is very difficult to select teaching textbooks; 6) students have many difficulties in English learning; and 7) they do not spend enough time and energy in English learning.
