摘要
在新文化运动的影响下,民众读书风气日趋高涨,以读书会等为名的读书组织大量兴起,其主要缘由有三:其一、启迪民智的需要;其二、普通民众的阅读欲与书贵难求之间的矛盾;其三、民众读书风气的兴起与公共图书馆缺乏的矛盾。民国读书会主要以时间、年龄、职业和书店等命名,且有自身的规章制度,并取得了积极的效果,其发展趋势和所处的时代休戚相关。
Under the influence of the New Culture Movement,people began to like reading very much,and a growing number of reading organizations such as reading clubs emerged.It was due to three main reasons：First,the need to en-lighten the people;Second,the contradiction between ordinary people＇s reading need and high prices of books;Third,the contradiction between the rise of people＇s reading habit and the lack of public libraries.The reading clubs were mainly named according to time,age,occupation,and bookstores and they had their own rules and regulations,and achieved positive results.The development trend of reading clubs was bound together with the times.
