The consequences of children maltreatment have significant ettects on tnelr brain development, academic performance and social skills. Since the 1960s,the U.S. government has undertaken the responsibility to develop early care and education for children ,including those who experience maltreatment. Various organizations to prevent child maltreatment have been established. The Pyramid Model serves as a framework to foster the social emotional development of young children and intervention curricula have been developed to provide teachers with effective classroom management. What's more ,some child abuse prevention programs have been set up in order to ensure the healthy growth of children.
