摘要
胡适在美国留学期间,深受美国诗人惠特曼和意象派诗歌的影响,收获最大之处就是对实验主义哲学和进化论的精通。胡适将它们运用于新诗革命,走过了"白话入诗"、"诗体解放"和"借鉴美国"三个历程,从理论主张到创作实践都带有深深的美国印记。
Greatly influenced by the American poet Whitman and Imagist Poetry, the biggest academic a- chievement of Hu Shi＇s studying in America was his proficiency in Experimental philosophy and Evolution- ism, which was applied to the Free Verse Revolution by him. The Revolution experienced three processes： Vernacular Diction in Poetry, Liberation of Poetry Forms and Studying from American Poetry. The Ameri- can effects can be found from his theoretic proposal to his practical creation.
