摘要
在西方,怪诞艺术由来已久。在浪漫主义兴起前,怪诞艺术往往遭到理性主义的否定。近代浪漫主义兴起后,怪诞艺术逐渐为人们所肯定,怪诞的内涵与形式也逐渐明确,成为后起的审美范畴之一。人们否定怪诞艺术,是出于理性发展的需要;肯定怪诞艺术,也是出于理性发展的需要。
The West grotesque art has a long history. It had often been negated by rationalism before romanticism rose. But after romanticism rose, the grotesque art becomes affirmed gradually and its meaning and form more definite, and finally it becomes one item in the aesthetic category. Ironically, the reasons to negate or affirm the grotesque art both stem from the need for developing logos or rationality.
