摘要
基于NSSE调查与PISA评价体系中参与度的评价指标,广州中医药大学英语专业学生英语学科参与度的现状调查,结果显示,中医药院校英语专业学生学科参与度水平较低,表现为参与英语学习活动的频度和深度较低、较少参与英语课外活动、英语阅读与写作量较少以及用于英语学习的时间偏少。因此有必要重新审视英语专业加专业方向的课程设置。调查还发现,学科参与度与学习动机呈正相关,其中由于喜爱英语产生的学习动机在提高英语学科投入量上起着显著作用;与焦虑呈负相关。
Based on NSSE and PISA, the survey of student engagement in English shows that English majors' involve- ment in the subject is low, manifesting itself in low frequency in participation in English learning activities, effective learning strategies and English-related extra-curricular activities, as well as inadequate reading and writing practice and time for English study. Therefore, it is necessary to re-examine the curriculum design of English majors in Universities of Chinese Medicine. What is more, student engagement and motivation are positively correlated, especially with integrated motivation, while stu- dent engagement and anxiety are negatively correlated.
