摘要
通过对地理信息系统概念及功能、产生背景及发展过程的介绍 ,指出 GIS作为一项具有强大生命力的高新技术在林业上应用的广泛性和必要性 。
The universality and necessity of application of GIS, a new high technological method with strong vitality, on forestry was introduced in this paper on basis of introduction of concept, function, formation background and developing process of GIS. Meanwhile the existing problems and developing tendency were discussed.
