摘要
本文在扼要回顾隐喻能力理论积淀和已有共识的基础上考量其确切定义及研究本质,进而以英国伯明翰大学英语系Littlemore博士近十年隐喻能力研究成果为例,从相关维度、方法等方面对隐喻能力研究主体脉络进行疏理、归纳和评析,希冀以此为契机为国内持续、多样、系统和深入地开展隐喻能力探索,尤其是在二语习得和教学中实证性拓展与应用隐喻提供借鉴。
This paper, based on a concise review of theoretical foundations and shared understanding of metaphoric competence, calculates its definition and probing nature. It then cites Doctor Littlemore's (the English Department of Birmingham University ) ample achievements that represent the furthest frontier of metaphoric competence study abroad to classify, summarize and comment on the mainstream study in terms of dimensions and methodologies. The paper is expected to provide inspiration for consistent, manifold, systematic, profound metaphoric competence study, and provide reference in particular for empirical extension and application of metaphor in second language acquisition and teaching in China.
