The analytic hierarchy process is a new method of system analysis.It is also a method which contains quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. It is not only applied in the policy making of engineering technology,economic management and social activities, but also used for analysis and forcast,or for offering a basis for control. The principles of the analytic hierarchy process are introduced in this article, and the basic processes of analysis are elaborated. Based on the analytic hierarchy process an analysis is given to the vehicle system so that the optimal model of family cars can be picked out.The example verifies that the results gained by the analytic hierarchy process is coincided with the fact.
