摘要
翻译是跨语言、跨文化、跨社会的交际活动,要求译者具备跨文化意识,注重文化差异。在英汉互译中,只有正确运用跨文化意识,才能保证跨文化交际的成功。通过研究语言、文化与翻译的关系,探讨跨文化意识在翻译中的运用以及如何在翻译教学中培养学生的跨文化意识。
Translation is a communication act which bridges different languages, cultures and society, so a translator or interpreter should have a cross-cultural awareness and pay attention to cultural differences. Without such an awareness, cross-cultural communication can hardly be successful in English-Chinese translation. Probing deep into the relationship between language, culture and translation, this paper dis- cusses the application of cross-cultural awareness into translation practice, and the ways to improve the students＇ awareness of cross-cultural communication in translation teaching.
