摘要
杨翼骧先生是著名中国史学史专家,1939年在大学学习期间就立志研究中国史学史,一生在史学史教学、研讨和学科建设上做出杰出贡献。他具有明哲守正的节操、孤标特立的风范,这在当代史学界,是值得敬仰的。今存杨先生的中国史学史手稿,虽未成书,但具有很重要的参考价值。同时也是那一代老一辈学者多所周折治学历程的写照,对此予以梳理、总结,可以化作进一步做好史学史学科建设的启示。
Yang Jixiang was one of China＇s renowned scholar of historiography. As early as in 1939 while he was a college student, he was bent on pursuing further in Chinese historiography. In his lifetime, Yang rendered great contributions to historiography teaching, research and disciplinary construction. His was a life of integrity and paradigm, commanding respect and awe from fellow historians of his time. Although his manuscripts remained uncompleted upon his death, these still count as valuable academic references, for they serve not only as a mirror of the intellectual contours of a great many historians of his generation, but also a useful clue to further historiographical construction.
