Market Demand and the Evolution of Emerging Industry——A Microeconomic Analysis of User Innovation

摘要 用户创新对于新兴技术创新和新兴产业发展有着重要影响。由用户创新引发的产业组织变迁不同于由生产者主导的产业组织演进的经典模式。新兴产业的创新过程在创新的动机、创新的决策模式、创新的商业化过程、创新对产业组织演进的影响等方面均不同于成熟产业。在以3D打印技术为代表的新技术范式下,用户在产业创新中的作用将更加突出。为了更好地适应用户创新对产业政策提出的新需求,未来我国的战略性新兴产业政策应当针对用户创新的特点,更有效地激发用户在新兴技术创新中的"参与"和"诱发"作用。 This paper starts with a literature review on the market demand and the evolution of emerging industry, before inquiring into the motivation, diffusion and commercialization of user-dominated industrial innovation. Different from the classical models, the user innovation-driven industrial organization dynamics embodies some specific economic features. With the development of emerging technologies, the 3D printing technology in particular, heavily equipped users would play a more important role in industrial innovation in future. In order to support and stimulate user innovation, China's industrial policy towards emerging industries with strategic importance, which ignores users' active role in industrial innovation, should consider the features of user innovation that parallels producer innovation.
