意义与指称历来是语言哲学中的重要论题。相对于传统的指称理论,克里普克(Kripke)的观点比较独特,他的"历史因果指称论"一发表即引起了西方分析哲学界的一场论战。本文介绍了该理论的背景和主要内容,重点解读了克里普克关于"涵义"和"指称"的观点,并对此作简短评论。
Meaning and Reference have been crucial issues in philosophy of language. Contrary to tradi- tional theories of reference, Kripke ~s theory is unique; his ＂Causal - Historical Theory of Reference＂ a- roused a hot debate immediately after it had been advanced in the world of analytic philosophy. This article interprets Kripke ideas about ＂meaning＂ and ＂reference＂ after an introduction of the background and ma- jor views of this theory. Comments are as well provided at the end of the article.
