In the Western Han Dynasty, several kingdoms including Chu, Jing, Wu, Jiangdu, Guangling and Sishui existed within the territory of present Jiangsu. Significant new achievements have been made in the recent years on the archaeological excavations and research of the mausoleums of King Sishui, King Jiangdu and King Chu. Research has shown that Liu Fei, King Jiangdu, had two wives and that the owner of Tomb M10 is not Naoji as previous research has indicated. The unearthed coffins inlayed with jade add materials to the study of jade coffins of the Western Han. The tomb unearthed at Daqingdun departs in structure from other Han prince tombs. The owner, according to the characters on the unearthed seal, could be Liu Cong, the fourth King Sishui, or Liu Sui, a relative to the king.
