In this way, the researcher plans to find the Chinese expression of shyness, which is conceptually equivalent to the concept of "shyness" in western psychology. The present study reviewed the western concept of "shyness" and etymologically analyzed the meanings of "Haixiu" and "Xiuqie" in Chinese.
