摘要
周领顺教授编著的《散文英译过程》一改传统翻译教材的编写模式,向读者展示了散文翻译的基本过程,记录了译者在翻译过程中的所知所感,为读者深入研究散文翻译理论与实践提供了许多宝贵借鉴经验,多方位展示了翻译教材,特别是散文翻译和散文英译教材编写的新理念。文章对该书作了简要介绍,评析了其鲜明的写作特色,指出了其面世的现实意义和进一步提升的空间。
As a pioneering work on C-E translation of essays, Translating Chinese Essays into English by Professor Zhou Lingshun is recommendable for several reasons. In the book, the author suggests a new pattern of translation textbook compilation, and demonstrates his thoughts on translation textbook compilation, especially the ones on textbook compilation of （C-E） translation of essays. He also shows the readers the whole translation process of essay translation, and writes down the translators＇ ways of thinking in the process, which provides lots of inspiring insights for probing into translation theory and practice of essays. This article makes a brief introduction to the book and discusses its particular features, and finally points out its realistic and academic values and shortcomings.
