9月5日，北京市卫生局发布消息，北京小汤山医院将更名为“北京市小汤山康复医院”（下称“小汤山医院”）。这标志着该医院将正式由三级综合医院转型为三级康复医院。“医院转型的原因，既是北京市卫生局、医管局规划区域医疗、调整医疗结构的重要举措，也是医院未来发展定位的需要。医院未来不仅承担康复医院的职能，还会承担起护理院的部分职能。”小汤山医院副院长梁英告诉《中国医院院长》记者。
According to the announcement from Beijing Health Bureau, Beijing Xiaotangshan Hospital changed its name into "Beijing Xiaotangshan Rehabilitation Hospital" on September 5th, which means that the hospital has o cially changed from tertiary comprehensive hospital into tertiary rehabilitation hospital. "The transformation is not only the important measure to regional health resource outline and health structure adjustment for Beijing Health Bureau and Beijing Hospital Administration Bureau, but also response for the future need of the hospital development in the future."Liang Ying, vice president of Xiaotangshan hospital told our magazine.
