摘要
由于特殊的地质环境和复杂的地质变迁,岩心图像普遍具有纹理丰富,边缘复杂的特点,较自然图像有很大差别。岩心图像采集过程中如果采用目前通用的压缩算法,会导致在低比特率下图像失真严重,不利于分析和识别。本文提出基于小波包的岩心图像压缩算法,首先采用基于熵的最优基选择算法对岩心图像进行小波包分解,在分解后的小波包子带结构上选择最优的码块尺寸采用JPEG2000编码。实验结果表明该算法获得的PSNR高于标准JPEG2000算法,并且纹理区域具有更好的主观视觉效果。
Due to the special geological environment and the complex geological changes,there are the characteristics of rich textures and complex edges in the core images,and has great differences from the general images.The current core image compression algorithm in the core image acquisition process could cause serious distortion in low bit rate situation,and is not conducive to preserve and analyze.A new compression algorithm based on wavelet packet decomposition is proposed in this paper,the entropy-based algorithm for best basis selection was used to decompose the core images,and then the code blocks with optimal size were coded by the JPEG2000.Results shows that the proposed algorithm outperforms the base-line JPEG2000 for PSNR,and provids better visual quality for core images.
