摘要
针对传统小波图像压缩算法普遍存在的纹理图像处理能力较弱的特点 ,通过合理选择最佳小波包基、自适应确定系数扫描次序、高效量化小波包系数等措施 ,提出了一种基于小波包分解的自适应图像编码算法 .对比实验表明 :本文算法的压缩效果不仅明显优于 SPIHT算法 (特别是纹理图像 ) ,而且优于已有的其它小波包图像压缩算法 .
In this paper, a new adaptive wavelet packet image compression algorithm was presented, in which the best wavelet packet basis was selected effectively, the wavelet packet coefficients were scanned in adaptive order and the wavelet packet coefficients were quantized optimally. The experiment results indicates that this new wavelet packet coder was competitive to, and open outperforms the best wavelet coding algorithm(such as SPIHT) and other wavelet packet coding algorithm, especially for the textured images.
