摘要
城市化运动的展开,城市的发展,城市在中国政治、经济、文化系统中地位的迅速上升,是近三十年来中国演变历程中最重要的一个部分。如果我们无法充分认识到"现代城市"之于中国所具有的意义,那我们就无法真正说明当今中国社会变动的逻辑。普遍存在于中国学术界和文化界的城市想象,以及城市学研究中存在的学科间分异的现状,都不利于对中国城镇传统和现实中国城市社会的研究。现代城市不仅受到现代国家、市场以及社会的诸特性的影响,它自身的结构也构成了国家、市场、社会及其相互间关系变动的特殊驱动力和规定力量。从城市维度切入可以发现:国家对于当今社会的日常生活具有特殊的干预力。无论是城市社会研究还是以城市为重要维度的社会研究,都是从事中国社会研究的学者面临的挑战。
The expansion of urbanization movement, development of urban and the rising position of city in China＇ s politics, economics and culture system are the most important parts of China＇ s change during last 30 years. If we cannot fully understand the city＇ s significance in today＇ s China, we will not be able to explain the logic of social change of China. The widespread city imagination among China＇ s academia and the current situation of disciplinary sub - differentiation in urban studies are not conductive to the research of China＇ s town tradition as well as urban society. Modem city is influenced by features of state, market and society, and its structure also forms the driving power and control force of those features＇ mutual relationship. From the urban point of view, we will find out that a state possess specific intervention power towards a society＇ s daily life. Both the urban social study and the social study with urban dimension are challenges to scholars who study Chinese society.
