Objective To study the effects of scorpion venom peptides on curing skin ulcers. Methods The wound skin ulcers model was used in 60 NIH mice.Mice were administered saline,bFGF150 AU/cm^2,scorpion venom peptides 4×10^-3,4×10^-4,4×10^-5 mg/mL,respectively.The ulcer healing rates were tested on post-healing day 3,5,7,9.The minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) with staphylococcus aureus and pseudomonas aeruginosa were tested by using broth dilution method and agar plate methods. Results The ulcer healing rates were increased compared to control group with statistically significant differences. The MIC of scorpion venom peptides was 0.125 0 mg/mL.Conclusion Scorpion venom peptides can heal the wound skin ulcers and have inhibitory effects of bacteria in vitro.
