摘要
元话语将我们引向作者如何组织命题内容、投射自我及建立与读者的关系。它不仅有助于作者表达观点与态度,也能指导读者理解语篇。本文选取英汉新闻评论各30篇,对比分析元话语在其中的使用情况,探讨其使用过程中异同点存在的原因,以期提高人们对元话语的认识,加强正确使用元话语的能力,提高英汉新闻评论的读写水平。
Metadiscourse in news commentaries serves to focus our attention on the means through which writers organize the contents, project themselves into their work and engage the readers. It not only helps a writer express his attitude and stance, but also directs the audience to understand the discourse. This paper chooses 30 Chinese and 30 English news commentaries to make a comparative analysis of the use of metadiscourse and explores the reasons behind the similarities and differences in hope of increasing people＇ s understanding of metadiscourse and improving their abilities of reading and writing news commentaries in both English and Chinese.
